LAPD officers Burton Steckler and Dwayne Engelman pull over Prophets of Light rap band members Jeriko One and Replay - and then murder them because their anti-police lyrics and activism incited protests against the LAPD. A prostitute named Iris that is with them escapes on a subway car and attempts to contact former police officer turned black market dealer of SQUID recordings Lenny Nero, pining over his ex-girlfriend Faith.



3December 31, 1999 Dates20th Century: 90sEvents

December 31, 1999
Lenny agrees to handover the SQUID disc of Jeriko One's murder to the police commissioner. When Lenny discovers that his friend Max and Faith are lovers, and that Max killed Philo, Lenny and Max fight, culminating with Lenny throwing Max off the balcony to his death. Meanwhile, on the crowded streets celebrating below, Mace subdues the officers that killed Jeriko One but other officers take down Mace. The police commissioner arrives and orders Mace's release and to arrest Steckler and Engelman.
