During the opening fire scene, a radio announcer mentions tomorrow's opening game of the 1969 World Series, which takes place on October 11, 1969. However, the title card declaring October 10, 1969 doesn't come up until the following day. In the same announcement, it is revealed that sanitation workers discovered the dead body of a third strangled nurse in a dumpster in Queens - now referred to as the Nightingale Murders.
